On March 30, 2007 we took “Baby” home from the dealer in Austin. She is a 2006 23′ Safari Airstream. Just the right size for the two of us, although we make room for my Mom whenever she wants to come along. We actually searched the entire US inventory to find exactly what we wanted.
We had a great experience buying the trailer. It turned out that despite our extensive inspection one of the vent covers was cracked. The dealer – Camper Clinic II – sent out a technician to where we were spending our first night just to replace the cover. They paid for our first night camping at a nearby campground, which was a great thing. We didn’t have to drive far for our first trip and we could easily get any newly discovered problems repaired. The Camper Clinic technician even came back out on Sunday with a different vent cover because the first one wasn’t the right model.
We were home on March 31, but the next adventure was only a few days away.
