Lighthouse Peak was the destination for our first day of hiking.

The canyon is up to 800 feet deep in some places. Here Alan hiked up to see some interesting formations caused by water falling straight down along the sides of the canyon.

We went off-trail for our first geo-caching adventures.

  1. That canyon looks beautiful. I wouldn’t mind going there! Do you have to “hike” to the top – can you drive? … Mom

  2. The Canyon is terrific. We might be able to go there but it may be too cold in October. You can’t drive to Lighthouse Peak – you have to hike!
