Seminole Canyon State Park

For those of you keeping track, we left Kerrville yesterday. We headed south-west towards the border. We are now camping at Seminole Canyon State Park near Del Rio. We are planning on staying through Sunday when we will head to Big Bend. We’ll have to pick up supplies – there isn’t much in Big Bend except a lot of space and beautiful scenery (assuming you like desert which we do.)

Today, we took a guided tour to see the 4,000 year old rock paintings in the Canyon. Tomorrow we will hike down to the Rio Grande. Watch this space for pictures! We took a lot today. Surprisingly, they have free wireless Internet in this Park although the connection is spotty. So, I will post before we leave. It’s not like we are spending our evenings watching TV.
