On our first day driving up the Natchez Trace Parkway in Alabama we stopped at Mount Locust. The house had been restored and there was a ranger there to tell you about some of the history and answer questions. Here are a couple of photos:
I loved the indigo blue. It was supposedly authentic.
This Jacob’s Ladder quilt was in the children’s room (although I’m pretty sure it was a reproduction – the white just didn’t look old.) I thought it was interesting done in one color:
This isn’t the greatest photo, but the squirrel without a tail wouldn’t stand still long enough for me to get him focused. At first I thought it was a bunny rabbit!
