Campsite Wildlife

We’ve experienced some interesting wildlife in the various campgrounds where we’ve stayed on this trip.

There was a tame deer wandering around Crooked River Campground.  It allowed people to pet it and was acting just like someone’s dog.   After Alan’s somewhat unpleasant tick experience last year, we didn’t get too close!

Even though we were staying at a private campground near Charleston, we spotted a fox in the field adjacent to the property:

While walking the Nature Trail through Skidaway Island State Park near Savannah, we finally got a photo of one of the dozens of woodpeckers we’ve heard over the last few weeks.

    1. We will probably be home in early July. We are just about at the farthest point right now – Outer Banks of NC.
